The Centre for Disaster Resilience (CDR) is one of six specialist Research Centres within the School of the Built Environment at the University of Salford, the highest-rated built environment research institute in the UK and number one for research power, a position held since 1992.
Its research incorporating disaster resilience and management was ranked 6*, the highest grade in the UK’s competitive Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) in 2001 and 1996, the only built environment research institute in the UK to achieve this.

The Brownfield Research abd Innovation Centre (BRIC) is a new research centre based at the University of Wolverhampton.
We are part funded by the European Regional Devleopment Fund ERDF to offer bespoke, free of charge support service to Black Country SME's who require assistance with all aspects of brownfield remediation and regeneration challenges.
